Sylvie's profile

Pianist, Sylvie Beaudoin is a well respected chamber musician and accompanist established in Maryland since 1999.  Ms Beaudoin has been performing chamber music regularly for concert series in the region, most notably with several members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, including principal chairs.  She has been heard as a collaborative pianist and soloist in concerts and broadcasts across Canada and the United States, as well as in France, Spain and Japan, alongside musicians from major orchestras and opera houses around the world.   Her repertoire reaches over 460 works from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.  She especially enjoys opportunities to present lesser known chamber music compositions from the romantic and modern eras. Ms Beaudoin is also a devoted music instructor, having held teaching positions consistently since 1982 in music schools, festivals, colleges, universities and her own private piano studios.  In 2002, she founded the Sylvie Beaudoin Piano Studio located in Howard County, providing a highly personalized, innovative and broad curriculum for all her students.  She has a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of British Columbia and is the recipient of numerous awards, prizes and scholarships.
