Renée Rendine received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (1996) and an MFA in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University (1999). She was a recipient of a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship in 2000 and was awarded a fellowship to study in Italy by the Atlantic Center for the Arts that same year. Rendine received a Baker Artist Awards B-Grant in 2015 as well as Maryland Sate Arts council individual Artist Grants in 2005, 2009, and 2016. Selected exhibitions include the Baltimore Museum of Art, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Noyes Museum of Art, Kim Foster Gallery in New York and Hemphill Fine Arts in Washington, DC. Her work has been featured in Sculpture Magazine, The New York Times, The Surface Design Journal, The Washington Post, and The Baltimore Sun. She teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
