His style is distinctly upbeat, bringing us into lush emotion-fuelled bliss with every track. The anthemic songs that he crafts blur the line between a furious flurry of genres from house and afrobeat, all the way world and dance, with just a light sprinkle of raw Philly soul.
The multi-talented artist has recently put out his debut album “Sage”. The nine track epic is a futuristic thrill ride through the spellbinding world of popular dance music. With many songs having already reached streams in the tens of thousands, it’s easy to see that this is one artist destined for greatness. This album comes just a year after his first two EP’s that cemented him as a serious force to be reckoned with in the wider music industry. He hopes for his songs to promote unity amongst people of all cultures; as well as bring joy to others and get the dancefloor moving.
Since he was just six, the young talent has been immersed in all things music. He first started out on the piano and harnessed his skills until he was at performance ready level. By the age of ten he was already producing beats and even went to a local music school where his skills only grew. In college he played in a jazz band and became a highly sought after musician for many local and national artists. He began posting music videos on social media which only served to increase his popularity. Fast Forward to 2016 and he’d started DJing. Mister Vershawn’s unique set of skills across the whole musical spectrum put him leaps and bounds above his peers. This classical musical training early on has resulted in a sound that’s fresh, organic and oozing with originality, whilst still staying true to the modern sensibilities of electronic music.
