Mari's profile

Mari Andrea Travis, Baltimore native, is a theatre director, choreographer and arts educator. She holds a BA in Theatre from Morgan State University (MSU), where she danced with the MSU Modern Dance Ensemble. Musical theatre choreography credits: Black Nativity, The Odyssey, Miss Ever's Boys at MSU, Ain't Misbehavin at Spotlighter's Theatre; Smokey Joe's Café, Black Diamonds, Luther at Arena Players. Guest residencies include Georgetown University, Morgan State University, Bryn Mawr School for Girls and Duke Ellington School for the Arts. Mari directed and choreographed Spell #7 at Arena Players in the fall of 2015. Mari is currently directing Colorblind: The Katrina Monologues at Arena Players and co-choreographing The Wiz at MSU.
