Jon's profile
Jon Lundak grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho. He received a Bachelor of Science in Art from Eastern Oregon University, studied at Whitman College and received his MFA at Alfred University. He has instructed at Alfred University and Northern Kentucky University. Currently Jon is instructing sculpture at Towson University. His sculpture involves a heightened sense of craftsmanship and material knowledge. This affinity for material exploration has helped guide his abilities as a maker. Jon has examined the miniaturization of architectural space and the implications of the viewers memory on these sculptural spaces. Jon is currently exploring the traveling of objects as well as the methods, vessels, perception and phenomena of travel.
