Howdy. I'm not going to put my "about me" info here; I'll let my pitch do the talkin'. Here it goes: I intend to create the "Rushville" podcast - a radio program that is the culmination of a 17-year-long obsession. This one-hour episodic podcast will be an investigative dive into both my own biological backstory, as well as the history of one small, Indiana farming town: Rushville - where, 38 years ago, I was born and immediately relinquished from.

Most members of my biological family still reside in Rushville today. I'd like to go there - next summer - to spend two whole months learning everything I possibly can about these unfamiliar kinfolk; I want to know more about their town, and, in the process, about myself. This project will likewise involve a bit of mystery and intrigue. You see, while in Rushville, I hope to finally investigate the backstory of my biological father as well - a man who died before I ever came back around, a man who likewise fathered the one fully-biological sibling I have: my older brother, Joe. I know nothing about this man, this "father" of mine. At least not yet.

If you'd like to see and hear some of the projects this obsession's produced thus far, please browse around my Baker Artist page a bit. I've contributed to The Guardian, Marie Claire South Africa, The Rumpus, and Catapult - among various other sites and journals - providing each with work that primarily focuses on my mysterious biological history and the town I never called "home."

Thank you kindly for droppin' by.
