"Redemption Song" is a short screenplay I wrote in the wake of the Baltimore riots. It's about two men from vastly different backgrounds, a successful business owner who’s store was damaged during the 2015 riots and the teen who caused the damage. Facing jail time and a criminal record the teen agrees to work with the owner to repair the store and in the process they gain a better understanding of each other.

My Summary
In the last decade or so I’ve been discovering my creative and artistic abilities that I wasn’t even sure that I had, that is, until I tried. I’ve been a Cameraman and Producer for over two decades concentrating on documentaries, magazine shows, lifestyle, how-to programs and corporate productions.

However, over the last decade or so I’ve decided to turn… more

Warren Watson - Actor, Cameraman, Editor, Producer, Writer, Model career overview

I have worked in various facets of the entertainment and broadcasting industries for for nearly 30 years. I started as an On-air Talent (DJ and News Anchor) in radio from 1989 to 1991. From there I transitioned to a career as a television Cameraman, Producer and Editor, working on many national and international productions. My first love was acting, however I put that on hold to concentrate on my broadcasting career.

In 2006 at age 37, after joining a local theatre group and performing in several plays, something I haven't done since high school, I decided to get serious about building a career as a working Actor. Since then, I have acted in films, commercials, industrials and other productions over the last 12 years, earning my SAG-AFTRA eligibility along the way. I also started print modeling, appearing in ads, websites and brochures for various local, regional and national corporations.

My first feature film, “Christmas Ranch” is currently available on Netflix and has also aired on Showtime.

I'm also writing several screenplays. Among them are “Redemption Song”, which won First Place in the Baltimore Screenwriters Competition at the Maryland Film Festival in 2017 and "Car Trouble", which won Third Place at the 2018 Baltimore Screenwriters Competition.

"Redemption Song" is a drama about a Baltimore city store owner and a teen who destroyed the store during the 2015 riots coming together to make Baltimore a better city in the wake of the riots.  “Car Trouble” is a dark comedy about a man who attempts suicide via carbon monoxide asphyxiation. Unfortunately for him he chose the wrong car. Contrary to the longline, this is an anti-suicide film.

My latest screenplay, "The Death Dealer" is another comedy, this time a mocumentary about a day in the life of a hitman with a unique specialty.

Warren Watson's photos from various stage productions

"The Christmas That Almost Wasn't" was a very unique production. Not only was it an original play, written about Baltimore and it's history but the play also featured at-risk youth and adults who are affected by developmental and speech challenges.

Note Norman's wild attire in "Conversations About Her". He comes off as a ladies man, a "playa playa" type but he's really just insecure and lonely. Playing Norman was my first attempt at comedy. I stayed away from comedy and went to dramas primarily because I never thought I could do comedy. But at the audition something just clicked and during the production the audience loved my performance, laughing at Norman's antics, style and demeanor. That was when I realized I really CAN do comedy.

Warren Watson's paintings

I've been interested in abstract painting for some time and thought about getting involved in it. Then finally, one day in late 2018 I had enough of thinking about doing something with it and decided I just need to do it. I've only started out and who knows where I'll go on this journey but I realized that I just have to give it a shot and see what happens.
