About Matt

From the beginning, Matt has been inspired by rock greats like The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, Radiohead, and American greats Paul Simon and Buddy Holly. He spent three of his formative years living in England soaking up the sounds of the early British Invasion, inspiring him to infuse the melodic and artful sensibilities of British music with the raucous and carefree American style he would later come to know.

Coming off the road from fronting a band for ten years, we see Matt Hutchison discovering himself again in this intimate collection of songs. It's almost like looking at a modern-day gentleman cowboy, earnestly looking West out of his East-Coast bedroom window. The dichotomy between the confident statements of "I Am," to the painfully reflective sentiments in "How Do You Like Me Now?" suggest that his journey has only just begun.

Three Minute Man
